It doesn't seem fair, but spending a lot of time working on something might not make it better. To create good work you need to work smart rather than hard. Many students feel that if they spend hours or days on a project it will get a better grade, but time spent and quality are not the same. Spend more time thinking about your ideas and less time staring at a screen or reworking the same drawing or painting.
