Design for Good

Like all cities with temperate weather, San Diego has a large homeless population. And they’re using design to help push their social responsibility. Throughout the city they’ve placed parking meter-style coin collection systems. People can still give change to the homeless, but by depositing into these meters the money goes to soup kitchens and shelters. The donations can still help local people but it also helps get them into the system, a first step out of homelessness.
