ARRIVE EARLY
In this age of texting our whereabouts it's become more socially acceptable to be late. But it's still unprofessional and can be seen as disrespectful, particularly in a professional environment. Try arriving 5 minutes early instead. You will have time to collect your thoughts, fix your hair and check your email before the meeting starts. There's nothing like starting off calm and organized and it only takes a little planning and a quick glance at the bus or subway schedule.
