What tool can you not create without? I cannot create without research, or inspiration. I have to be able to investigate a subject in depth in order to effectively solve a problem, or react to it.

Who inspires you professionally? Professor Lagstein inspires me professionally. She has experienced so many different cases and has passed her wisdom on.

If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would it be and why? I would live off the Pacific Coast Highway in California. It’s absolutely beautiful and I would love the opportunity to live on the west coast.

What is something you wish you had learned earlier? I wish I learned how many resources I actually had at my fingertips. There are endless ways to research or investigate, and no need to limit yourself.

Who inspires you professionally? Professor Yontz here at STAC.

If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would it be and why? I would love to live in Africa, and be a part of the peace corps doing humanitarian work.

What is something you wish you had learned earlier? I wish I would’ve gone with my heart despite what the adults in my life thought was a mistake- to pursue my passion in the arts and study it further in college. Some things aren’t just hobbies, they are the reason for your existence.

Fine Art \\ Graduating May 2014

What tool can you not create without? A basic drawing instrument and my ideas, because all my art starts from my imagination, so in order to show my idea I need to draw it.

What is the last thing you read? He’s Just Not That Into Youby Greg Behrendt.

Who inspires you? The person who inspires me the most is my older sister, Jen. From day one she’s pushed me to be my best because she knows that I have trouble with school. She graduated from Fordham University with Fine Arts and went back for Law, and I’ve always continued to look up to her.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?The Dominican Republic, my father is from Santo Domingo. He did not have much growing up and he provided so much for me- a nice home, a great education and he showed me all the many things I can do with art.

What is something you wish you had learned earlier? The importance of computer graphics. I never kept up with it after highschool, but now I’m refreshing my skills and hope to learn as many things as I can.

Graphic Design \\ Graduating May 2014

What tool can you not create without? A ruler or Adobe “smart guides”. When designing anything, the simplicity of things lining up with one another makes things look so much cleaner.

What is the last thing you read? The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins.

Who inspires you? A lot of people in my life inspire me, but my dad inspires me the most. He was the first person in my life to get me into art/photography. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?Either Italy, Greece, or Spain. I’ve never traveled outside of the US so I am literally dying to go anywhere!

What is something you wish you had learned earlier?Sometimes simple is better. You don’t have to drive yourself crazy over trying to make something perfect. Just go with your gut and it will work out in the end.
