Slow Down and Look

An article in the Times this week, The Art of Slowing Down in a Museum, is an interesting meditation on how we look at art. We are so accustomed to clicking through images at a feverish pace or walking past ads and billboards without really noticing them that we’ve also lost the skill of looking. This can also be applied to any kind of looking. This week experiment with really seeing the world, whether it be while cooking, walking around, shopping or going to a museum. See what you notice and remember. Maybe it will make it into your own art.
