Photographer Marc Hermann combines vintage crime scene photos with contemporary photos of the same locations. Many of these are from Brooklyn, but if you live or frequent the city, see if you can recognize any of these places. Read this profile at fstoppers.com.
Digital Motion Sickness
Is technology making us queasy? The Telegraph and others are asking the question. While motion sensitive displays and other advancements are making the digital environment more real they are also messing with our equilibrium. Google Glass makes technology even more immersive and might increase some of these problems. Have you found this to be a problem? Would it prevent you from upgrading your phone?

Banksy in NYC
Banksy, the enigmatic, anonymous street artist is doing an art residency on the streets of New York. Each day in October he is stenciling somewhere in the city. Follow his exploits on his blog and see if you can find the work. Some of them have already been “reclaimed” by their locations so check them out soon. On the site (or the site) you can listen to the audio commentary by dialing the posted number.
Ona
Ursula von Rydingsvard‘s sculpture entitled Ona has just been installed outside the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn. This 20-foot tall bronze sculpture was originally created in cedar, Rydingsvard’s medium of choice. So far the response has been positive which I think says a lot for the audience in Brooklyn. While it is beautiful and the scale makes it awe-inspiring it is not a traditional choice for art outside a sports arena. This weekend hop on the subway and see what you think.
